That we reap what we sow is neither good nor bad.
It just is.
Let us accept that,
Let us breathe that,
Let it become part of us – and us of it.It is the time of the harvest.
The pinnacle of this year has long since past,
Even as we hurtle toward the next one.
What we have now is the result of what we started earlier,
Neither more nor less.
It cannot be increased or reduced – not now.
What we have is what we have.
Let us accept that.Let us rejoice in that. Let us draw that in, and keep it, for we all have much.
For the fruits which turned out no good, let us reflect,
But may we not dwell.
From this year, we must move on,
Just as we moved on from the last.
Let us accept that.
Let us breathe that.
Let it become a part of us, and us of it.In truth, we as mortals, for all our proverbs and advice,
We rarely have any idea what we are planting.
Sometimes what grows is what we expected to grow,
But most of the time it’s a little bit off.
That’s okay, that’s our lot.Let us accept that.
Let us breathe that.
Let it become a part of us, and us of it.
Happy Harvest. Salaam.
