Good morning and happy Solstice! Glad tidings unto you, much mirth and strength and joy be unto this day and rain down upon us all from a cloudless sky.
Six months ago, the new light was born, Half year later, its victorious morn. The promises made in darkest of days, Fulfilled when the sun stops dead now to blaze. What recently only had the potential to be, The sun shines bright so permits us now to see. What stiffness in our backs, whate’er our aches and ails, The sun heats into healing like in all the old tales.
This first half of year, your work has been great, So pour full your glass today, so pile high your plate. Soon the time will come to cultivate and craft, To finish what we’ve done, fore and aft, But now is the time to feel warm and smile, To drink in the air and chill with others and feel good for a while. So sing and dance, my friends, light fires far and near, For Midsummer’s Day is magic and comes but once a year!
