On this special morning,
Let us not see our neighbors as separate from ourselves.
Among our peers, colleagues, friends, supervisors, and subordinates,
Let us not see all as anything but people,
As anything but us ourselves.On this special morning, special as all the others,
Let us not feel as though the only moments of real life,
Or the only moments “ours” or the only moments sacred,
Are only the moments we can steal or escape to.
Let the mundane and the fallen be real life today, let all of it be ours.
